Everything is made to order. We had a mix of their tacos. Absolutely some of the best tacos anywhere around. The best taco de asada. The chorizo was nice big chucks. Grilled to perfection. Home made tortillas. The salsas are on point. Don’t forget the agua frescas de jamaica.

I have been craving birria tacos. I went to Chinelos on a whimsy and was not disappointed! Service was very friendly and fast. I got a Jarritos and a Horchata as well. The tacos were ready quickly. They are authentic, and taste amazing!!! I highly recommend.

A Taste of Baja in the Heart of Kenneth City Walking into Chinelos Taqueria & Birrieria felt like being transported straight to Baja, Mexico. The atmosphere was lively, the music was authentic, and the whole vibe made us feel like we were on a beachside getaway. We were greeted warmly by Victor Valora and immediately felt like part of the family. The menu is packed with flavorful favorites—barbacoa, birria, pollo en adobo, tamales—you name it. Everything tasted fresh and homemade with real heart behind every bite. This is your escape to Mexico for a meal. We’ll definitely be back—and bringing friends!

I loved visiting Chinelos Taqueria! A family owned "hole in the wall" restaurant that will out cook any mainstream Mexican restaurant in the Tampa Bay area, in my opinion! I ordered a simple taco combo, and the authenticity of the blended flavors were rich. It came with a small side of rice, and coated refried beans. I've traveled to real- deal parts of Mexico several times, and when I tell you this is the real deal, this IS the REAL deal. I had some room for dessert, so I ordered churros, and DELICIOUS would be an understatement. They were cooked to perfection. You can certainly taste that they are made in house. The texture of the churros were not to hard nor too soft, and they were drizzled with the right amount of sugar and caramel. The ambience also set the tone: rodeo shows and Latin artist based concerts playing on the TV, with traditional decor hanging throughout the storefront- it beautifully added to the authentic experience. The owner was also so kind, and you can tell how passionate he is about what he does. I was visiting on a work trip, but plan to be back when my family joins me in the summer. In the meantime you take a visit and support this small business. Wishing them many many years of success!

This small unassuming taqueria provides big, authentic incredible flavors! Service was wonderful as we were greeted with a friendly hello and he made sure to check on us periodically. The Birria Tacos were the best I've had in the area. The consomme was absolutely lovely, not overpowering but complimented the savory taco in every way. The Al Pastor Tacos, oh my what a blast of savory, sweet and hint of tartness from the pineapples, pork and that crisp bite of freshness from the cilantro and radishes. Great meal, highly recommend!

Calm clean and inviting atmosphere that seems to be locally owned by a family. The server was very attentive and kind. We ordered drinks and meals after looking over their broad menu. The serving sizes were quite large and the food was perfect. The best fajitas and birria I’ve had in the area.

Ricos tacos!! Yummy food here!! This place is awesome, low-key traditional Mexican favorites with so much flavor. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in St Petersburg area. We got tacos, birria and a Huarache with asada and everything was so good. The flavors from the kitchen are super traditional and taste amazing, no fusion tacos here just a menu that you would likely find in Mexico. La neta bien bien sabroso Todo! Altamente recomendable!
